Recently, I read a piece of news online about a WOW player who did WOW power levelings. His name is Lee. He says that “Your level consumes my life. ” He decided to quit power level after he had been in the job for a month, and thought that playing games is just an entertainment which needs not to be regarded as a profession.
Lee started to play WOW in university. During those times, it needed 40 players working together in raid. He thought playing WOW was making friends and the interesting point was the sense of accomplishment.
The popularity of MMORPG brings up a group of special players who work for power level. Power leveling is an industry that if you pay you’ll get leveling up. Lee was a great player and was famous in his institute, so many players wanted him to help them level up their accounts. He would like to earn money, so he accepted the job. What’s more, he invited a friend to join him. They accepted 12 accounts, 300 yuan for each. The accounts were required to level from 45 to 70. They work with two computers on all day and night, just ate instant noodles, and slept for only 4 hours a day. Not long after, they cannot stand it and invite another friend in. After a month, they were dead tired. Then, they quit.
That was the first time they had a word for WOW power level, that was new to this industry. Afterward, they know that they charged too little. The people who are professional even help brush honor and equipments can earn much more. The price of it of that time was about one thousand.
Now, although Lee never does WOW leveling any more, he still plays WOW. He wrote that, “The sunset is beautiful, but I get home before the sun sets. I love WOW.”
