Introducing The Death Knight Wow’s First Hero Class

World of Warcraft is no doubt one of the most successful games of the generation. Aside from its excellent game play and graphics, WoW’s major attraction is its versatility as well as continually changing challenges that keeps players on the edge.

Recently, the game introduced WoTLK which contains the latest character for gamers – the Death Knight.

But what exactly is a death knight?

The Death Knight is first of the Hero Class and although this new category doesn’t seem to have much difference with the other classes, WoW has made some tweaks in creating them. One example is that only 55 rank players or above can create the DK and that the character starts off automatically at level 55.

Death Knight Capabilities and Mission. The DK is one of the loyal subjects of the Lich King Arthas with abilities that are triggered by Runic Power.

Like most characters, he has six runes all subject to cooldown intervals.

Every time the DK uses a rune, the amount of Runic Power he has increases which he can then use for other abilities.

The Death Knight would sport a green ensemble and 20 pieces of silver at the start of the quest. Quest startsd at the Eastern Plagueland in what is called The Ebon Hold. This is where the ability called Runeforging will be acquired by the player in “The Emblazoned Runeblade” quest. Using this ability, runes may be placed on the weapons of the character.

The great thing about playing the death knight is that leveling up is pretty easy, allowing you to climb up to 57 within by just questing through the Ebon Hold. When this happens, characters will change gear colors from a green to a blue ensemble.

The DK is similar to other classes with its three talent trees: Blood, Frost and Unholy.

In the same way, players have the option of mixing these talents together to get the abilities they want.

With this new character, players can get their hands on some cool gear even at just level 58. The DK also has access to two-handed and one-handed melee weapons since it belongs to the melee class. One advantage though is that there are no Shields available for the DK although the plate armor is strong in itself.

Death Knight Character Outline
To sum it up, the DK is an excellent character to have for those who want something new in the WoW game. The fact that it takes a short time to level up on the game means you’ll be able to play longer and get items quicker. An added advantage is the fact that the DK starts at level 55.

Unfortunately, the novelty of the game prompted numerous players to choose the Death Knight to play. As a result, forming groups and raids just became harder due to the low number of non-DK characters.
