WoW’s First Hero Class The Arrival Of The Death Knight

With millions of players all over the world, there isn’t any doubt that WoW is a gaming success. With it’s constant improvement and excellent graphics, players find themselves getting more and more engaged with the game.

With the introduction of WoTLK, the arrival of the Death Knight became the latest development in the game.

So what does having a death knight mean?

The Death Knight is first of the Hero Class and although this new category doesn’t seem to have much difference with the other classes, WoW has made some tweaks in creating them. First of all, the DK starts at level 55 and may only be made by players who rank at 55 or above.

Abilities of the Death Knight. The character is created faithful to Arthas the Lich King and would need to use Runic Power for his abilities.

He also has six runes with specific cooldown periods.

The DK also has access to special abilities which he can use through the Runic Power that gain in number each time he uses a rune.

When the quest starts, the Death Knight character is dressed in a full green ensemble plus 20 silvers. The game starts at The Ebon Hold located at the Eastern Plagueland. During this stage, players will start “The Embalzoned Runeblad” quest which grants the ability of Runeforging. This is actually very useful since Runeforging allows the character to build a rune on the weapons at hand.

One of the greatest attraction o the death knight is the fact that leveling up is easy, letting players land on 57 without leaving Ebon Hold. When this happens, characters will change gear colors from a green to a blue ensemble.

Like most classes, the DK boasts of three talent trees: Blood, Frost and Unholy.

Players have the option of mixing these talent with each other in order to get the type of abilities that they want.

With this new character, players can get their hands on some cool gear even at just level 58. The DK also has access to two-handed and one-handed melee weapons since it belongs to the melee class. One advantage though is that there are no Shields available for the DK although the plate armor is strong in itself.

Death Knight Character Outline
For those looking for something new in WoW, the DK would make an excellent choice. Since the level up is easy, it doesn’t take long to find treasures and abilities in order to upgrade to a level. An added advantage is the fact that the DK starts at level 55.

However, because of its newness, the Death Knight seems to be a common character choice. As a result, finding groups and raids just became harder.
